Narrative Node Made by editors, for editors

Workflow plugins that clear the bottlenecks in post-production.

Narrative Node is a software brand that makes specialized plugins for professional video editors. A professional wedding videographer and editor founded it, and every product is built to fix a real performance or workflow bottleneck.

The path of an edit

    Ingest

A card dump lands, thousands of clips at once.

  2. 02

    Browse

Finding the take without opening every clip.

    Navigator
  3. 03

    Mark

    Keeping the moments you chose.

    Navigator
  4. 04

    Assemble

Building the cut on the timeline.

  5. 05

    Deliver

    Getting ranges and files out.

Each plugin we build clears one stretch of this path.

Made by someone who shoots and edits for a living.

Narrative Node was founded by a professional wedding videographer and editor. A wedding project is a card dump of a thousand-plus clips and a highlight film due on Friday, and the tools weren't built around that load.

We looked for software that matched how professional editors work and didn't find it, so we started building it. Every product here comes from a bottleneck on a real job.

How a plugin gets made.

Every plugin follows the same three steps before it reaches you.

  1. 01

A bottleneck on a real job

Something slows an edit down: a panel that can't keep up with the footage, or a task that takes too many steps.

  2. 02

We use it on paid work

We build the fix and cut real projects with it. Navigator was measured on a wedding project of 1,089 clips.

  3. 03

    Then other editors get it

A plugin reaches other editors only after it has held up on full-size footage. Navigator comes with a 7-day free trial.

Every plugin follows the same rules.

They came out of building Navigator, and they apply to everything we make next.

  • It lives inside your editing app

Plugins dock beside your timeline in Premiere Pro, so a small job doesn't send you to another program.

  • It uses the shortcuts you already know

Navigator keeps Premiere's own keys, like I and O for marks, so there is nothing new to learn.

  • It's measured on real projects

Performance is checked against a wedding project of 1,089 clips, not a demo bin of a dozen.

  • Your footage stays on your computer

Previews are made locally and nothing is uploaded. The plugin has no telemetry.

  • One bad clip doesn't block the rest

A file that won't decode costs its own tile and nothing else in the grid.

  • Slow work shows its progress

Previews build in the background and the panel says what it's doing, so an empty tile never looks broken.
